In addition to providing various avenues for members to network, CPAmerica has outside experts and support staff to facilitate client matters, firm growth and management.
Consultants
CPAmerica dues include the services of several nationally recognized consultants retained to assist members with client matters and practice management. The consultants are available free of charge for quick advice of up to 15 minutes. Or, they can be retained at a fee for more in-depth assistance.
CPAmerica’s national marketing consultant, Suzanne Csik, a former national firm marketing director, is available exclusively to association members. She is available to help guide, develop or improve firms’ marketing efforts, including marketing plans, budgets, media relations and niche services.
REACH
The REACH program gives personal attention to each member firm and facilitates sharing opportunities on a regional basis. Each geographic region of CPAmerica is assigned two liaisons-a CPAmerica team member and a member of the board of directors. The liaisons are in regular contact with members in their region to identify and connect solutions for specific individual firm needs and goals.
Review Programs
To sustain the high level of quality their clients expect, CPAmerica members are required to undergo an AICPA or CPCAF peer review. This is a review of the firm’s quality control systems by an experienced review team to determine if quality control policies, procedures and standards are being maintained by the member.
CPAmerica members are also available to conduct a Firm Management Review of the key aspects of practice management and a Marketing S.M.A.R.T. Review to examine strengths and weaknesses in the marketing area. A Tax Practice Enhancement Consultation program focuses on developing and managing tax practice procedures. Also, Firm Technology Improvement reviews are available to help firms assess their overall technology, infrastructure and network security.
Surveys
A number of other client and staff surveys are available: The Staff Attitude Survey, The Upward Evaluation and Client Satisfaction Survey.
CPAmerica’s Practice Management Survey provides benchmarking management data to its members—an in-depth look at fees, billing rates, realization, software, staffing, compensation and benefits. Every CPAmerica firm around the country takes part in the confidential survey, with the results closely reviewed by leading partners at their annual retreat and by partners on a regional basis and at individual firm partner retreats.
