Accounting Today Names Two CPAmerica Member Firm Managing Partners to 2023 MP Elite

Gainesville, Fla. (August 15, 2023) – Accounting Today, the premier publication of the certified public accounting industry, has named two managing partners from CPAmerica member firms to the 2023 Managing Partner Elite list. John Lauseng, Aldrich Advisors, and Lee Cohen, LMC, are among ten managing partners across the country to receive this prestigious recognition.

According to Accounting Today, Lauseng is a prime example of making your people a top priority. Placing an emphasis on initiatives like AldrichYou, their performance management learning system, which trains employees in a wide range of business and interpersonal skills, and their POOL program (for Promoting Opportunities + Outstanding Leaders), which exposes staff to different departments and customers before they start their career track. 

Listening to their people is also a priority for Cohen at LMC. “I listen and hear what they have to say so we can continually improve,” Cohen said, adding that, at the height of the Great Resignation, “We sat with each employee to see how the firm could improve. And we implemented those ideas.” Accounting Today also shared that with 85 staff members, the 10% turnover rate Cohen has achieved at LMC should make him the envy of his peers and a model for others.
