August 19, 2026- Brickley DeLong, P.C. is pleased to announce the return of Tonya Shackelford, CPA, who has joined the firm as a Manager. Tonya brings extensive accounting and tax experience to the team, along with a strong background in client service, tax compliance and financial reporting. Having previously been part of Brickley DeLong, Tonya returns with additional experience and expertise that will further strengthen the firm’s commitment to providing high-quality client service.
Most recently, Tonya served as a Senior Team Member with H&S Companies, where she oversaw client relationships and trust and estate return administration. Her experience includes preparing and reviewing tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, nonprofits, trusts and estates, as well as researching complex federal, state and local tax matters. Earlier in her career, Tonya also served as a controller, gaining valuable experience in financial reporting, payroll, internal controls and accounting operations.
Tonya earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting with a minor in mathematics from Grand Valley State University. She is excited to return to a familiar firm, reconnect with former colleagues and build relationships with new members of the team.
Outside of work, Tonya enjoys spending time with her husband and five children, especially outdoors walking, biking, hiking and exploring new places. An avid traveler, Tonya has explored Europe and Greece, and hopes to return to Greece someday to experience more of its islands.
