HOLYOKE, Mass. (June 15, 2026) – James Krupienski, CPA is helping with shine a positive light on the accounting profession. As the 2026 BusinessWest 40 Under Forty Alumni Achievement Award recipient, Jim represents the leadership, growth, and rewarding career paths that are possible in this field. His recognition is a reminder that accounting offers the chance to lead, serve, and make a lasting impact beyond accounting itself. The 40 under Forty Alumni Achievement Award was introduced in 2015, recognizing individuals who have made a lasting impact beyond the accomplishments listed on their resumes that first earned them a spot in the 40 Under Forty Club.
In 2010, Krupienski was named a 40 Under Forty honoree in recognition of his emergence as a leader in the accounting industry and his commitment to serving clients, colleagues, and the community. With expertise in Health Care accounting, Krupienski leads the Health Care niche at Meyers Brothers Kalicka, P.C. (MBK). Since 2010, Jim has continued to make an impact throughout his community and firm. He has grown to be a respected leader and mentor at MBK.
As a Partner, Jim leads the marketing and recruiting departments, manages the tax internship program, and provides tax and assurance services to clients. His talents stretch far across the board, but one of his best is the ability to listen. “Jim leads from intention, rather than from ego,” wrote Sarah Rose Stack, Co-Owner of The Stack Group. Previously worked for MBK under Jim’s supervision as the firm’s Marketing and Recruiting Director. “He makes the final call, but only after thoughtfully considering professional input. At the end of the day, what defines a leader is whether people feel seen, respected, and empowered in their presence,” Stack states. “Jim makes people feel important. He makes them feel capable. He makes them feel safe to stretch and grow.”
Krupienski states, “Being Partner at MBK, I have the privilege of paying that forward.
