Harleysville, PA (June 11, 2025) – Baum, Smith & Clemens, LLP, the Harleysville based accounting and business advisory firm is pleased to announce this year’s winner of the Travis Bechtel Scholarship is Peyton Blum. Son of Timothy and Susan Blum, Peyton is a 2025 graduate of Dock Mennonite Academy. He plans to attend Baylor University where he will major in finance, entrepreneurship, and corporate innovation.
The scholarship is named in honor of a former employee of Baum, Smith, & Clemens who died at a young age while employed at the firm. It is awarded to a graduating senior of Dock Mennonite Academy who has excelled in academics, sports and business. Dock has selected Peyton as the winner of the award due to his leadership roles on campus senate, National Honors Society, chapel committee and athletic teams. Furthermore, Peyton has served the community outside of school through his church and other service opportunities.
